This engine combination is what powered us to having the World’s Fastest and Quickest (6.68@211.46mph @ 2800 LBS) Nitrous 632ci BBC in the country!! I have used my years of racing in Pro Street to develop this reliable all-out racing engine. There is no other engine builder that can lay claims of producing as much horsepower as our engine is making. We start with a Merlin raised cam block and fit it with a special Callies Magnum crankshaft with MSRE profiled counter weights. The engine comes with CP / Steele custom nitrous racing pistons with our special ring package and GRP aluminum rods. Unlike a lot of the big name engine builders who buy their heads already ported, all of our cylinder heads are ported in shop by Mike Steele . How can you beat the competition if everyone has the same basic head package? This is what sets Mike Steele Racing Engines apart from the other engine builders across the country. We have spent years designing a special version of our 18° Big Chief heads with the correct cross section and shape of ports to maximize the power of this combination. We have spent countless hours on the flow bench with intense time on research and development and on track testing to develop this record setting package. A custom MSRE sheet metal 2x4 intake manifold is used to compliment the dynamics of our 18° cylinder heads. The intake manifold is plumbed with an Edelbrock/Steele 2 stage nitrous system. This is the same system I designed and sold to Edelbrock. The engine comes with an MSD crank trigger, sheet metal valve covers, Auto-Verdi 5 stage custom dry sump pump and Moroso split pan and finished off with a special pair of Pro-Systems Nitrous carburetors.
